What is bespoke software?
Bespoke software is a totally custom
built computer system designed and
tailored according to the customer's business
needs and requirements.

Why choose bespoke software?
There's no doubt about it 'off
the shelf software' is
cheaper and quicker to implement than
custom built systems. If you have a limited
budget and it does pretty much what you
want then its probably better to choose
off the shelf software. BUT and
here's the important bit, it will not
fit yourindividual
business needs 100%.
It will not do exactly what you want
it to when you want it to and you'll
find yourself saying, 'if only it could…'
more than once. A bespoke system will be
designed according to your individual business
needs and will streamline your processes
saving you time and money in the long run.
It's a clear investment in your organisation's
future.

Our Process
We believe that in order to develop an efficient and usable software system, we need to know all about the business processes that the software is assisting or replacing. Throughout the project we work closely with both the business managers, who possess a vision of the companies future, and the end users of the system who often have a better understanding of the detailed requirements of the system.
First meeting
The first stage of the process is to meet with you
to discuss your business and your software needs. Once we have a better
understanding of your business we will have a better
understanding of the specific functions required by your new system.
At this point we will usually discuss the future of your business so that we can ensure that the software system can be developed to meet later requirements as well as present ones. We do not employ salesmen and the person you meet will be a systems analyst that has developed similar systems to the one that you need.
Quote
Following the initial meeting we will provide
you with a quotation.
This will include our software system recommendations
with costs and predicted time scales for
implementation.
Specification
Prior to starting the actual development of your system we will write a specification document detailing the exact requirements of your system. Depending on the complexity of your needs we may need to spend several days alongside your staff onsite auditing your existing business processes. The analyst assigned to develop the specification will usually go on to project manage the complete development of the system.
Spending time at this stage is important because it can often identify existing software products which can be brought in and modified to fully realise your requirements. This can save you considerable time and money while providing you with a product that fully meets your needs.
Development
A project manager will work as an intermediary between your organisation and the development team to ensure that the development goes to plan and according to schedule. Complex systems will often be developed in stages and signed off on completion of each stage. In some cases prototypes will be developed to demonstrate functionality prior to final development.
Testing and release
The system will be fully tested prior to
release or installation and an after sales
support period will be agreed. A separate
service support contract can also be agreed
upon completion of the contract for further
development of the system.
